Our summer started off with a trip to Memphis to visit Aunt Patty and Uncle Steve. This was a huge food vacation for us! We love bbq and Memphis is the absolute best place in the world for bbq. While there, we did some sight seeing and touring. We visited the Rock and Soul Museum, the National Civil Rights Museum, the Gibson Guitar Factory, and of course Graceland. The best trip we took while in the south was to the Paula Deen buffet in Mississippi. That was the best food I've ever had!
Our favorite part of the whole trip was visiting with Aunt Patty and laughing until I peed my pants! (so embarrassing!)
Paul and I held the second bunco party in our group. It was the first week in October, so we decided to invite everyone to wear costumes. We love that everyone really went for it with their costumes! It was a great evening!
We took a sort of last minute cruise with our friends Jacki and Dave. It ended up being a perfect opportunity to do some relaxing and sleeping before Paul and I go back to work and school. It was a short 4-day cruise that stopped in Catalina and Ensanada. The best stop was Catalina, where we rented a golf cart, ate good mexican food and amazing ice cream. The highlight of the cruise was winning the $500 jackpot bingo. We were so stoked and eventually treated ourselves to some massages in the cruise ship spa. Fun week!
