On Saturday, we attended Eli and Lori's baby shower.  They are the second couple close us having twins!  It is so cool.
Their theme was cupcakes and butterflies.  Jen made two super cute giant cupcakes.
My mom and I brought the materials for embroidering quilt squares for baby quilts.  It is a family tradition that my mom started when my cousin Katie was born and I am bringing back.  I made one for Eli and Loris' first child, Dante and now for both sets of twins!  It is a lot of work, but something very special for everyone.  The ladies had a good time sitting around embroidering  squares and chatting.

Paul's Bicycle booboo's

Paulie Wog's booboo's
His dislocated thumb
This road rash is 3 days old; it looked much worse 3 days ago.
It looks like he got his devil horns cut off!  Hehe!

On Friday, Paul was in a bicycle accident on his way to a final.  As he was riding, I called him and he answered the phone, so he only had one hand on the handlebars!  Someone stepped out in front of him and he had to slam on the brakes.  When he did that, the front wheel turned and he flew over the handlebars.  He hit his head, dislocated his thumb, got road rash on his arms hands, knees and feet.  Worst part is, he was not wearing a helmet!  He is so macho; he put his own thumb back in place!  We did not have big enough bandages to cover his road rash; so blood and all he went and still took his final.  He has been super sore and banged up, but we are grateful he is ok!

Two Peas in a Pod Baby Shower

On Saturday, Paul and I along with our friends Shelly and Jeremy threw a couple's baby shower for our best friends Jess and Dustin.  Jess and Dustin are having twin boys; and we all couldn't be more excited!

I jumped on the opportunity to plan a party and was super excited that Shelly was helping too because she always has cute ideas.  We made a good team! We held it in our neighborhood park.  I love this park; it has big beautiful trees and a huge lawn!  In fact, I learned how to ride my bike there.  We had perfect beautiful weather.   The theme was "Two Peas in a Pod".  The colors were green and brown.  We served a potato bar with all the fixins'.  I loved the centerpieces with a green charger, two peas in a pod salt and pepper shakers, two green votive candles, and a vase with white gerbera daisies and tulips.  We had a clothesline and onesie decorating, which turned out so cute because all of Dustin's entomology friends made bug onesies.  The favors were doublemint gum, and twix ("Two for me, none for you") wrapped in greed bottles with our two peas in a pod logo.  Everything came in doubles; even the prizes came in twos.  It's no secret that the Mommy-to-be's favorite food place right now is In-n-out.  So what better prize than In-n-out gift cards!?  Shelly made the cutest green and brown guessing jars full of candy and two super cute sign in photo matting for the guests to sign.  My cousin Jen made the cutest cake to match the picture of the two baby boys peeking out of a pea pod that we used.  Dustin made a playlist with some groovin' tunes that set the mood perfectly.  Jess and Dustin received some super cute gifts as well. Overall, the shower was a success and I had a blast planning it!  Now... we just wait for these two precious boys to come into this world!  I can't wait to be the honorary auntie who spoils them!
